Deeds and documents,

F1-4 were endorsed by Mrs Kitty Idwal Jones, 'These were found in the safe at Penucha, but do not appear to have any connection with the family. But I cannot read them myself'.

'Diaries of tour round the world',

Notebooks kept by John Herbert Lewis, endorsed by Mrs Kitty Idwal Jones, 'Diaries of tour round the world ... 1884/5. These were written up, possibly with a view to publication, but never published. There was also a Welsh translation. Mainly interesting is a description of the mission on the Khasi hills. J. H. Roberts wrote a book, for private circulation - 'A Trip round the World'. Diary summaries,

Summary notes of John Herbert Lewis's diaries prepared by Mrs Kitty Idwal Jones, presumably while preparing the biography Syr Herbert Lewis, 1858-1933 (Caerdydd, 1958). The notes from the diaries have been suplemented by material from correspondence addressed to John Herbert Lewis, extracts from books, newspapers, parliamentary papers and other printed sources. Most of the volumes have a comprehensive index.
