The series comprises, amongst other material, extracts from letters, [c. 1809]-1881, mainly to or from the Rev. John James, Gellionnen, genealogical material, including that relating to the family of Llwynrhys, Llanbadarn Odwyn, and notes of archaeological interest.

The series consists of a volume of press cuttings, [c. 1889]-1941, bearing the name of Dr Goronwy Jones and containing, amongst other things, a series of 'notes historical' by the Rev. Rees Jenkin Jones on 'Old Aberdare', published in The Aberdare Leader, 1921-1922.

A. M. T. Jones: financial letters

The file comprises letters, 1937-1967, relating to the finances of Mrs Anne Mary Tydien Jones. The first letter is addressed to Dr Goronwy Jones. The papers include a 'Schedule of deeds and documents relating to Heathfield or Rectory Cottages, Bishopston, near Swansea', 1917, referring to a contract and assignement for purchase by Mrs A. M. T. Jones.

Diaries

The series comprises a diary, 1919, containing few entries, with press cuttings, 1932, relating to the League of Nations and Manchuria, and to a sermon delivered by the Rev. Simon Jones at Nottingham on this subject.

Lecture notes and sermons

The series comprises a notebook containing lecture notes of the Rev. Simon Jones, 1903-1904, entitled 'Preacher and Pastor' whilst he was a student at the Manchester Unitarian College; together with press cuttings, mostly from Christian World, and a sermon based on Revelations 21:10.

Family estates

The sub-fonds comprises deeds and legal papers, 1620-1928, relating to the Clettwr estate, Cardiganshire, the Cilgell Isaf estate, Carmarthenshire, and to premises in the parish of Aberdare, Glamorganshire.

Rees Jones, Nantyrymenyn, p. Llandysul

The file comprises articles of agreement, 1828, between Jane Davies of Nantyrymenyn and [her son] Rees Jones of the same, gent., whereby Jane Davies agrees to pay Rees Jones £210 in consideration of the expenses incurred by Rees Jones in building and repairing Nantyrymenyn and Clettwr Mill, and an account of the sale of the livestock, household goods, etc. of Rees Jones at Nantyrymenyn.
