Report by R. Jones, Fishery Officer, who tried to board a steam trawler in the Menai Straits having just come in over the Caernarfon bar, for the purpose of examining her nets; boarding was not accomplished because the crew did not co-operate.

Report of meetings of the General Purpose Sub-Committee held at Chester to resolve the garfish nets matter, whereby a sub-committee was appointed to deal with the matter.

Reports (2) by D. Pritchard, Fishery Officer. In the first report, dated 16 May 1896, he reports the boarding of a fishing boat, the 'Wave' CO3, trawling off Cilan Head within the limits with trawl mesh too small, and trawl beam too large. The second report, 17 May 1896, is of the boarding of fishing boat 'Ann Marie' LL208 at Cilan Head. He reports the same offences as those committed by the 'Wave'. Also included is information given for the prosecution at the Pwllheli Petty Sessional Division by R. Casson related to the offences committed by the boat 'Ann Marie'.

Reports made by R. Jones, Fishery Officer, who seized an illegal draw-net and the fishermen's boat near the Trecastell weir in the Menai Straits off Beaumaris, as well as information given to the Anglesey Petty Sessional Division by R[andal] Casson for the prosecution.

Resolution passed 25 November, 1895 that the Fishery Officers of the Western Sea Fisheries be made honorary members of the Lancashire Sea Fisheries Joint Committee. This copy dated 27 November 1895 was sent to R[andal] Casson from J. P. Muspratt. Copy.

Returns as to the fishing industry for the year 1892, for most fishing ports in the Western Sea Fisheries District, along with two letters to R[andal] Casson relating to the returns, from the chief officer of New Quay Coastguard and from Thomas Ellis of Holyhead.
