A contemporary copy of Queen Elizabeth's Instructions, 1586, to the Earl of Pembroke, Lord President of the Council in the Marches of Wales [?in the hand of George Owen, the historian of Pembrokeshire].

A volume containing notes in legal French, [late 16 cent. x early 17 cent.], on English land law, with an index of subjects (f. 124 recto-verso).

The Romances of Peredur (pp. 1-58) and Bown of Hampton (pp. 59-174), together with the Mabinogi (pp. 175-265), transcribed at the end of the sixteenth century. The text is a direct copy of Llyfr Gwyn Rhydderch (Peniarth MSS 4-5).

An incomplete folio manuscript containing genealogies, mainly of North Wales families, written towards the end of the sixteenth century, together with extensive additions, revisions, and critical observations in a number of hands (including 'H.R.' amd 'E.Ll.') of approximately the period 1633-1685. The volume is a compilation from various sources, of which some are specified, e.g. the hands of books of Lewys ap Edward, H[umphrey] L[lwyd], Simwnt Vychan, Lewys Dwnn (based in one instance on 'llyfr koch o bowys' - 'Pechod na losgid y llyfr hwnnw'), Ievan Llwyd Jeffrey, Geo[rge] Owen, Gruff[ydd] Hiraethoc, W[illia]m Llyn, William Kynwal, John 'vn llawioc', 'Mr. Puleston o Drefalyn', Guttyn Owen, 'y llyfr dv o gaer vyrddin', etc.

A collection of elegies, in Welsh, by and in the hand of Rhys Cain (d. 1614), after 1588. Inserted into the collection is a cywydd (p. 115) by Gruffydd ap Ieuan ap Llewelyn Fychan in the hand of Thomas ap Wiliam of Trefriw, and a cywydd (p. 119) by and in the hand of Huw Machno, 1601.

A composite manuscript volume lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, II', being a companion volume to, and a continuation of, NLW MS 6209E, which is also a composite manuscript (sections numbered I-XIII) bound in a similar manner and lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, I'. It appears that the two volumes originally formed one folio manuscript belonging to Edward Lhuyd made up of transcripts by his assistants, contributions by Henry Rowlands and Hugh Thomas, and fragments of earlier manuscripts (see pp. 14-15 of NLW MS 13918F, 'Catalogue of Welsh M.S.S. in Beechwood Library by the Reverend Mr John Jones [?1746-1827] M.A. Fellow of Jesus College Oxon, 1781', i.e. part of the Sebright collection. A composite manuscript containing a miscellany of Welsh triads, proverbs and religious poetry written in the late sixteenth century.

Title deeds relating to Our Lady’s Mill [granted by the crown first to John Pryse in 1574], comprising a grant by Elizabeth I to Sir Richard Pryse, explaining that the mill was erected for the sustenance of a chaplain in the chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary near the sea, 1585; a deed of sale by Francis Morrice of Westminster and Francis Phelipps of London to Richard Pryse, 1613/14; leases by Pryse Pryse of Woodstock, Pryse Loveden and Sir Pryse Pryse, of Our Lady’s Mill and pieces of land in Mill Street, 1800-1875; and a deed of sale by the Corporation of Aberystwyth to Pryse Pryse, 1844. The leases of 1839 and 1863 include the leat and head dam or pool above the ruins of Plas Crug.

An imperfect, composite manuscript consisting of transcripts, in a number of hands of the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, of miscellaneous prose and verse items including Welsh poems in strict metre by Edward Dafydd, Dauudd Edward, Davydd William, 'viccar Penllin', Lewis Mfln, Thomas ap Rys 'o blas jolyn', Phillipp Pwell, John Tudur, Dauidd ap Gwilym, Robin Ddv, Gruffydd ap Iefan, John Philipps, Iolo Goch, Thomas Derllysc, Gruffydd Gryg, Siôn Cent, Richard Kynnwal, Huw Machno, Robert Dyfi, and Kadwalader Kesel, two versions of the code of rules for regulating the craft and conduct of the Welsh bardic order generally attributed to Gruffudd ap Cynan, a copy of 'The order of the funerall of John Conway of Botruthan in the Countie of Flint, Esquier, who was intered in Rithlan the 23th of December 1606', a prophesy entitled 'The prophesie of Gre[ ]' (Latin), and a short sequence of Welsh triads. Some of the leaves bear contemporary foliation indicating that they formed sections of other manuscripts. An inscription in the hand of Edward Williams (Iolo Morganwg) on the previous upper cover lists the contents of the volume, and, from this list, it appears that a section containing an account of Gruffudd ap Cynan's sojourn in Ireland in 1098 ('Hanes Gruffudd ap Cynan yn y Werddon yn y flwyddyn 1098') has been lost since the time the inscription was written. There are a few marginal annotations by Iolo Morganwg.

Title deeds of messuages called Tythen y Berth Lwyd and Keven y Gryg in the township of Ceulan a Maes-mor , 1585-1639. They comprise a mortgage by Phillip William Mores, 1585; a grant of dower by Margaret vch Ieuan Lloid, widow of William Mores Thomas, to Richard Pryse of Gogerddan, 1589; and a subsequent quitclaim and bond by David Phellip William Mores to Richard Pryse, 1604/5, and to Dame Gwen Pryse of Gogerddan, 1638/9, respectively.

Inquisition post-mortem John Pryse [of Gogerddan], died 5 May 1584, stating that he was possessed of the manor of Pennardd and Caron, the mills and castle of Aberystwyth, parts of the manors of Genau’r-glyn and Cyfoethybrenin, properties in Llanfihangel Genau’r-glyn, the manor and parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, and Llanilar, and the grange of Nant Rarian (Nant yr Arian), 1585

A collection of Welsh strict-metre poetry of the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, including works by Ieuan Gethin ab Ieuan ap Lleision, Iolo Goch, Lewys Mon, Tudur Aled, Hywel Cilan, Gutun Owain, Guto'r Glyn, Ieuan ap Tudur Penllyn, Dafydd Llwyd o Fathafarn, Rhys Pennardd, Tudur Penllyn, Morus ap Hywel ap Tudur, Deio ab Ieuan Ddu, Gruffudd Hiraethog, Rhys o'r Hengaer, Wiliam Cynwal, Edward Brwynllys, Dafydd Nanmor, Sion Ceri, Huw Arwystl, Dafydd ap Siancyn ap Dafydd ap y Crach, Wiliam Llŷn, Rhys Cain, Rhisiart ap Hywel ap Dafydd ab Einion, Hywel Rheinallt, Gruffudd Llwyd ap Dafydd ab Einion Llygliw, Sion Tudur and Tomas Derllys. A cursory examination of the items included in the manuscript suggests that about ten of the poems are not recorded in other manuscripts. The volume is written in several hands of the late sixteenth century including those of Simwnt Fychan (ff. 73-75) and Wiliam Cynwal (ff. 79-81), two of the bardic pupils of Gruffudd Hiraethog, and also the hand of Rhys Cain, the herald bard of Oswestry, who was a pupil of Wiliam Llŷn, another of Gruffudd Hiraethog's pupils (ff. 4-6 verso, 101 verso-148 verso).
