[Joy asleep amongst daisies]

Joy Thomas wearing a headscarf and tweed coat pretending to be asleep on grass well populated by daisies. The arrangement of the headscarf to display the pattern suggests this has been taken as part of a fashion shoot rather than a snapshot.

[Grid Lettering]

An alphabet written in lower and upper case letters. A-C in each case are written in a grid suggesting that this was a teaching aid to show how to construct grid lettering.

[Joy with cine camera]

Joy Thomas looking through the viewfinder of a cine camera. Although this appears similar to a photo of Joy holding a cine-camera that accompanied one of Ifor's articles in Miniature Camera World for Sept 1940 she is holding a different camera.

July Sun

Joy Thomas standing in front of a bed of reeds wearing a tweed skirt, waistcoat, gloves and walking shoes.

[Sailor]

A sailor in white vest and cap adjusting ropes running through a block. The sailor is on the left of the photo, looking up at the ropes he is holding. Beyond the deck rail is a stretch of sea and land. White clouds dominate the sky.

[Soldiers in silhouette]

Two soldiers casting long shadows whilst in the act of crossing a road, walking right to left. The road and the cobbled surface on which they are walking are wet and gleaming in the early morning (or late evening) sun.

[Man with bottles]

A man resting on a pile of empty bottles. His right hand is shading his eyes from the sun, the left is holding a bottle of Red Stripe. Other bottles visible are for Soda Water, Kola, Safreys Pilsener Beer and another Pilsener beer
