Photographs of Cyril Fox and his family, friends and associates, notably in academia and the Army, and also of archaeological and other subjects of personal and professional interest to Fox, taken throughout his life, and including a number of nineteenth-century portraits, together with a few related letters. Also included are: drawings, mostly of archaeological subjects, by Fox [?and others]; photocopies of cartoons by him in the style of the Bayeux tapestry depicting trips to Wales, Brittany, Sweden, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and Kent; a printed copy of the genealogy of the Fox family of Southampton; offprints of articles by Cyril Fox; copies of publications relating to archaeology and museums in Wales, mostly dating from after his death; photocopies of articles from archaeological journals; and a copy of a Peanuts cartoon mentioning Cyril Fox, intended for use in Charles Scott-Fox's biography.
