Literary and editorial correspondence and related papers

The series consists of literary and editorial correspondence, 1971-2015, arranged chronologically. The correspondence consists of letters to John Barnie with some replies from John Barnie, regarding the commission and use of John Barnie’s literary works; and regarding the inclusion of literary material in various publications, including Planet magazine. Some letters include related material such as book reports and photographic prints.

The series consists of typescripts and proofs, 1986-2006, for a number of John Barnie’s published works; the series also contains three black and white prints [c.2004] possibly intended for inclusion in Planet magazine.

The series consists of contracts and agreements, 1971-2016, between John Barnie and various publishers; also including statements regarding the publication and use of his literary works.

A collection of music journals containing articles about the Super Furry Animals. Titles include 'Melody Maker', 'NME', 'Select', 'Q', 'Vox', 'Sothach', 'Y Selar', 'Golwg' and others. Papers are arranged in the original chronological order as accumulated by Dr Carl Clowes.

The series consists of personal correspondence, 1970-2017, arranged chronologically. The correspondence consists of letters and cards to John Barnie with some replies from John Barnie. Some letters include photographs, and some related papers, such as typescript drafts of poetry and printed copies of poetry and articles.

Material relating to tours, concerts, festivals and other performance events given by members of Women in Jazz under various stage names such as the Roots Trio, the Women in Jazz Allstars and Wilson & Morgan's Café Society Ensemble, together with events participated in or organised by Women in Jazz, or with which they were associated.

Material relating to funding applications made by the Women's Jazz Archive/Women in Jazz/Jazz Heritage Wales to the Arts Council of Wales, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, the Heritage Lottery Fund and others, including application forms, correspondence, reports and accounts; together with inscribed plaque awarded to Women in Jazz by the Foundation for Sport and the Arts.
