The depressed state of agriculture, and difficulty of running the estate due to lack of money. His method of controlling expenditure; has visited Tregaron estate, and plans to visit Breconshire and Carmarthenshire estate. Rents in arrears and tenants failure to sell stock by rent day; one of tenants has had his stock seized to clear his debts. Leasing or sale of Woodhouse, he suggests it might be used as security to borrow money. Ready money will be necessary if there is an electoral contest.
