Considers it would be a great injustice to art to sing the Welsh songs in the way Lady Llanover expected them to be sung, and such a descent from art would require a great sacrifice on her part. If the music of Wales required to be sung in a peculiar way which did not belong to the simplicity and purity of true art she would prefer not to give such an interpretation.
