Letter concerning his statement. Writing from abroad, having fled the law, he recounts the interview with Morgan Stuart Williams and Mr Lloyd in the library at Aberpergwm. A victim of gambling, he denies attempting blackmail and praises Morgan Stuart Williams's kindness. His innocent wife is living with her mother at the Gough Arms, Ystradgynlais.
