They comprise a general pardon to Rowland Pughe, 1626; cases of trespass in the lordship of Cyfeiliog and Ffrith Tafolwern, 1626-[c. 1635]; cases of debt against the estate of Richard Pughe, deceased [post-1651], and against John Pughe, 1743/4; and a case about suit of mill at Melin Gerrig [c. 17331].

Miscellaneous mortgages and other documents relating to financial obligations of the Pughe family of Mathafarn and others, 1627-1728. The first item is a defeasance of a recognizance in statute staple by Sir Thomas Myddelton of the city of London to Rowland Pughe and Richard Pughe, 1626/7. There are mortgages by John Pughe of Eskir Angell, Merioneth, and his cousin Harry Pughe, of Tythyn Tyno Meyryn or Tir Y Penddy and a ffrith in Gartheiniog, Mallwyd, 1640; by John Pughe of London, linen draper, of Tythyn Y Tryfall and Tythyn Esgair Wenne, 1664, and [?the same] John Pughe of Mathafarn, and Anne his wife, 1667, of Tythyn Dolybacho in Glyntrefnant, Trefeglwys, parcels of land (named) in Trefeglwys, Penegoes and Llanbryn-mair, and Eskir y Goedlath in Llanwrin, 1667. The file also contains part of a possible mortgage between William Pughe of Mathafarn and John Pughe his eldest son, of Gavel Coch Walcock in Darowen, 1708; an assignment by Hugh Tudor of Penrhos, Montgomeryshire, to Thomas Owen of Machynlleth, of a judgement upon a bond to his wife Jane Poole, obtained against Thomas Jones of Clegwrdder and his son Griffith Jones, 1726; and bonds by Thomas Jones, 1723-1731.
