(The first of these lectures was subsequently published as 'The Age of the Princes' in D. Myrddin Lloyd (ed.), The historical basis of Welsh Nationalism (Cardiff, 1950), pp. 42-59). 'Wales from the Edwardian Conquest to the Act of Union', a lecture delivered at an Extra Mural Department Rally at the U.C.W., Aberystwyth, c. 1951. 'The transition from medieval to modern times'. Lecture on the Acts of Union, 1536 and 1543. Lecture on 'The Record of Caernarvon', the Cambridge Presidential Address in 1964 (3 copies).

Notes from original sources employed by Jones Pierce in the course of his research. The sources used include: tithe apportionment schedules; records of the apportionment of rent charge in lieu of tithe in the parish of Nefyn, co. Caern., transcribed at the offices of the Welsh Church Commission in 1930; Exchequer Depositions from the reigns of Elizabeth and James I; materials in the Public Record Office, including Inquisitions Post Mortem for Caernarfon, patent rolls, Welsh rolls and close rolls; The Record of Caernarvon; estate collections at the National Library of Wales; Chancery Proceedings; Exchequer Depositions; Plea Rolls and Sheriffs' accounts for the 15th century.

Two volumes endorsed 'Notes on North Wales etc. Started at Aberystwyth 25th May 1906. Auspice I.G.D.' and containing notes on, and transcripts from, primary sources in the P.R.O. and secondary works relating to the history of medieval Wales.
