Lists of 'gled', 'kit' and 'puttock' placenames from the Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Gazetteer, 4th ed., 1999; lists of latest breeding record or presence by county, statements on the distribution of kites in British bird books published at least 1802-1959; extracts relating to kites from county histories, faunas and ornithologies, including the 'Victoria County History' for England and the 'Old' and 'New Statistical Accounts' for Scotland. Also several references to kites in archaeological sites and churchwardens' accounts.

Original file of William Condry's copies of Kite Committee papers, including reports and minutes of the West Wales Field Society, 1949-1950; annual reports on the kite's status and nesting season, 1950-1955; notes on, minutes of and reports to Kite Committee meetings, 1958-1971 and 1974; a draft report on the desertion of two kite nests after filming operations by the RSPB film unit, 1970. Several of the papers, containing locations of nests then in use, are marked confidential.

Includes a copy of the Wales Raptor Study Group report, 2004; and heads of agreement (unsigned) between the Golden Eagle Trust of Ireland and the Welsh Kite Trust for the supply of 265 young Welsh red kites over five years for release in Co. Down and Co. Wicklow, 2007.
