Speech notes of Edmund Davies who acted as the defence lawyer for D J Williams at Caernarfon Assizes when he stood trial for arson at Penrhos Aerodrome, together with a letter from Edmund Davies to Saunders Lewis, 7 September 1976, and Saunders Lewis's reply, 8 September 1976, recalling the events of 1936. Also included are various papers relating to the award of the degree of D Litt honoris causa to Saunders Lewis by the University of Wales in 1983 when Lord Edmund-Davies was the University's Pro-Chancellor.
