Pedigrees,

The manuscript consists of two parts: The first part, written 1538-1539, comprises pedigrees and recipes in the hand of Huw Bangor; etc. The second part, written c. 1587, comprises Rhannau Arbennig yr Ynys; XIII Tlws; XXIV Marchog; prophecies; etc.
The old vellum cover for the first part has bicolumnar text in Latin.

Y Gododdin, etc.

A composite manuscript, comprising:
(i) pp. 1-95. A copy in the hand of David Ellis [died 1795] of the double text of the Gododdin derived from Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), written [1783 x 1791] [on the derivation and date, see Brynley F. Roberts (ed.), Early Welsh Poetry: Studies in the Book of Aneirin (Aberystwyth, 1988), p. 52].
(ii) pp. 105-80. Welsh vocabularies, etymological notes, Welsh names of fish and birds, etc., derived from the collections of Evan Evans in NLW MS 1988B, in the hand of Griffith Roberts, written not before 1788 (p. 163). Pages 175-180 are blank.

Llyfr Moelyrch,

Poetry of Guto'r Glyn, William Llyn, Hywel Cilan and others in several hands, [c. 1570].
A few entries are in the hand of William Penllyn. There are extensive marginalia in contemporary and later hands.

Disticha Catonis,

The 'Disticha Catonis', with an English paraphrase in verse; the wars of Alexander - 'historia Alexandri magni regis Macedonie'; and an incomplete text of 'Historia sanctorum trium regum'. Illuminated.

Beunans Meriasek,

The text of the Cornish drama Beunans Meriasek, written by Master Nad Ton in 1504.
The drama was edited and translated by Whitley Stokes and published by Trübner & Co. (London, 1872).

Llyfr Gwilym Tew,

A manuscript dating from the second half of the 15th century comprising poetry; a Welsh grammar; vocabularies; and historical triads, mostly in the hand of Gwilym Tew.
Poets whose work is represented include Dafydd ap Gwilym, Iolo Goch and Rhys Brydydd.

Gwyrthiau y Wynfydedig Fair a St Edmund,

A collection of mostly religious prose in Welsh compiled by four or fives scribes between the second half of the thirteenth century and the first half of the fourteenth century. Texts in the first part include the Miracles of the Virgin Mary (p. 1); the Miracles of St Edmund (p. 33); and Sibli's Dream (p. 45). Texts in the second part of the manuscript include the histories of Judas and Adam; the childhood of Christ; the Life of St Margaret; and secular prose, namely Proffwydoliaeth Myrddin and Ystoria Beredur.

Llyfr Syr Thomas ap Ieuan ap Deicws,

Pedigrees; texts on heraldry; Bonedd y Saint; Y Pedwar ar Hugain Marchog Urddol; 'Compd Mannwel'; a proclamation of the Caerwys Eisteddfod of 1523; poetry and other texts.
The first part was compiled by Sir Thomas ap Ieuan ap Deicws around 1510; the second part of the manuscript was written between 1531 and 1544.

Trwydded pencerdd Gruffudd Hiraethog,

A roll containing a copy of the Statute of Gruffudd ap Cynan in the hand of Gruffudd Hiraethog (f. 1); together with the original licence of Gruffudd Hiraethog as Pencerdd, (1545/6) (f. 2).
Ancilliary papers included with the manuscript are a note on the contents of the manuscript, [?18 cent.] (f. 3); a transcript of the Pencerdd licence by W. W. E. Wynne (f. 4); a letter from Tho[ma]s Price, Llandrillo, to Wynne, 11 January 1861, referring to Price's translation of [?the Statute] (ff. 6-7; the translation is not present in the present manuscript); a typescript translation of the licence, [20 cent, first ½] (f. 5); and a xerox copy, [20 cent, first ½], probably of the label on the box in which the manuscript was formerly kept (f. 8).

Fragments of Ach Dewi a Thalm o'i Fuchedd; Buchedd Beuno; Cysegrlan Fuchedd; Ymborth yr Enaid; Ieuan Offeiriad; the Lives of St Margaret and St Catherine; etc. compiled by three scribes of the 14th and 15th centuries.

Yr Afallenau a'r Oiannau

A 16th century manuscript in several hands comprising poetry; pedigrees; a version of the Afallenau and the Oiannau; a text concerning the separation of Powys Wenwynwyn; and the prognosication of Erra Pater.
Pp. 1-19 are in the hand of Simwnt Fychan.
