Title deeds for parcels of arable land in the township of Main, mostly lying in the larger fields called Maes y Bont extending to the river Vyrnwy, Maes Y Tir Newydd, Maes Y Llanerch, Gro Meredith Lloyd and The Long Leasow, 1550-1617. Other places include Kelly Eirighe, Gilvach, Y Weirglodd Lybe, Yr Erow Goch, Y Werne Goed, Lletty Inyon, Y Gwerne Goide, Pwll Madok and a parcel of garden or hemp yard. One deed describes the moiety of a mansion house next to the church of Meifod and the moiety of a barn and kilnhouse next to the highway, together with parcels of land, mortgaged by Richard Vaughan of Trefedryd, to Owen Lloid of Main, 1602. The properties were mortgaged by Thomas ap Rees ap Lle'n ap Tuder to Howell ap William ap Ieuan ap Howell ap Madocke and the file contains the defeasance of mortgage, 1569, followed by quitclaims by Thomas ap Rees ap Lle'nn ap Tuder, 1574, and David ap Thomas ap Rees to Howell ap William, 1582. There is a mortgage by Meredith David ap Howell to Meredith David Wyn of Llaethbwll, of a messuage (occupant named), Tir y Calch and a parcel of land called Errow Henry, 1608, followed by a deed of sale to Richard Hunt of the town of Shrewsbury, of the messuage, Tir y Calch, and two ridges of land in Maes y Tir Newydd, 1617.
