Materials relating to ancient monuments,

Two volumes which contain two groups of scrapbooks, eighteen in all, containing materials relating principally to Montgomeryshire and Merionethshire, compiled by George Eyre Evans in 1910 in his capacity of Assistant Inspector to the Royal Commission on Ancient Monuments in Wales and Monmouthshire.
They consist of notes in the autograph of George Eyre Evans, including extracts from the parish registers of Llanidloes, 1616-1747, Llanerfyl, 1670-1783, and Cemmaes, 1733-1812, and a transcript of a part of a journal of a visit by the Reverend Thomas Price, vicar of Merthyr Tydfil, to Dolcoed Wells, Llanwrtyd, 1762; autograph letters to George Eyre Evans from Henry Bonsal, Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, J. Two bound volumes containing about four hundred and thirty autograph letters and postcards, 1903-1904, written to George Eyre Evans in connection with his appeal for subscribers to his Cardiganshire: A Personal Survey of Some of its Antiquities, Chapels, Churches, Fonts, Plate and Registers (Aberystwyth, 1903).
The names of almost all the writers appear in the published list of 'Subscribers'.

About two hundred and sixty-five autograph letters and postcards, 1904-1906, written to George Eyre Evans in connection with his appeal for subscribers to his Lampeter (Aberystwyth, 1905).

Letters of David Ivon Jones,

About three hundred and fifty autograph letters and pictorial postcards, 1907-1913, written principally to George Eyre Evans by David Ivon Jones, a native of Aberystwyth and grandson of John Jones ('Ivon'), from New Zealand and South Africa, together with a few letters and picture postcards from W. M. Roberts, North East Valley, Dunedin to George Eyre Evans, and from W. Tudor Jones, Wellington to David Ivon Jones; and printed matter.

Articles by 'Philip Sidney',

Three albums containing copies of articles contributed during 1899-1905 by 'Philip Sidney', i.e. George Eyre Evans, to the Welsh Gazette, Aberystwyth.
The articles relate mainly to the history of Aberystwyth and other districts in Cardiganshire, as well as in Montgomeryshire and Merionethshire, and are accompanied by numerous letters to 'Philip Sidney', posters and tickets of lectures and addresses given by him, illustrations, and also reprints in booklet form of some of the articles.

A complete set of eighteen volumes of the Journal of the Ex Libris Society (1892-1909), bound up with printed and manuscript additions.

Three volumes of correspondence by and concerning ministers of religion, some addressed to George Eyre Evans, together with a number of letters to the Managers of the General Baptist Academy. Each volume is indexed separately.

Powell and Evans family letters,

Two volumes of correspondence written by George Eyre Evans and members of his family, namely the Powell family of Colyton, Devon, his mother's relatives, and his father, Professor David Lewis Evans of Carmarthen, together with some letters received from outside the family circle. Both volumes are indexed separately.

Renshaw Street Chapel Sunday schools,

Two volumes containing material relating mainly to Renshaw Street Chapel Sunday Schools, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, 1874-1889. The first volume consists mainly of a copy, in the form of loose leaves guarded in, of [George Eyre Evans's] printed work on the subject published in a limited edition of five hundred under the title Happy Hours of Work and Worship (Liverpool, 1889). Supplementary to this, pasted in, etc., are miscellaneous letters, photographs, printed items, press cuttings, etc. The second volume contains letters to George Eyre Evans, 1878-1895, the majority being correspondence dated 1889 relating to the aforementioned volume. Biographies of Unitarian ministers,

Five volumes entitled 'Brief Biographies of some Two Thousand Ministers connected with most of the churches (and a few others) now included in the National Conference of Unitarian, Liberal Christian, Free Christian, Presbyterian, and other non-subscribing or kindred congregations' by George Eyre Evans. The volumes contain notes, press cuttings and photographs relating to the ministers concerned. The biographies are arranged alphabetically by surname.
