A collection of Welsh medical texts, including tracts on blood-letting and uroscopy, medicinal recipes, and a lists of herbs in English, Welsh and Latin, all written in a seventeenth-century hand.
A photostat copy, [early 20 cent.], of part of a manuscript of 1674-1686, containing cywyddau and awdlau addressing Sir Thomas Mostyn and other members of his family. The facsimile reproduces 3 prefatory leaves and pp. 25-92, 295-340 of the original only, the remainder of the manuscript being blank.
Coats of arms and pedigrees, [c. 1572], in Welsh and English, apparently in the hand of Sir Thomas Wiliems. A note on p. 177 states 'This books seemeth to have beene compyled in the yeere of o[u]r Lorde. 1572' (p. 177).
The Welsh texts of Dares Phrygius (ff. 1-23 verso), Brut y Brenhinedd (ff. 24-141 verso), and Brut y Tywysogion (ff. 142-206 verso), written in a hand of the second half of the fourteenth century.
The Welsh text of Brut y Brenhinedd written by the scribe of the Book of Taliesin (NLW Peniarth MS 2) during the first half of the fourteenth century. The text is followed by the pedigree of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd.
The Romances of Peredur (pp. 1-58) and Bown of Hampton (pp. 59-174), together with the Mabinogi (pp. 175-265), transcribed at the end of the sixteenth century. The text is a direct copy of Llyfr Gwyn Rhydderch (Peniarth MSS 4-5).
A volume containing a treatise on arms, copied in 1678 'allan or Llifr a fenthyciais i gan Sion Mathews o Ruabon'. It includes the arms of Arthur and other figures from Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia from Brutus onward, arranged alphabetically and mixed up with historical personages; there are 178 entries in all (pp. 3-25). This is followed by tracts including 'Bonedd y Gwyr Gore' (pp. 25-28), and a letter from Thomas Maurice to Dr John Davies of Mallwyd (pp. 345-354).

'Cerdd Rhobin ab Huw a elwir ym mhlith y Beirdd Rhobin Ddu o Fôn, wedi ei 'sgrifennu ai Law ei hun wrth erchiad William Fychan Esq: Penllywydd yr Anrhydeddus Gymdeithas o Gymmrodorion 1772', being an autograph poem by Robert Hughes (Robin Ddu o Fôn) written at the instigation of William Vaughan of Corsygedol and Nannau, 1772.
Welsh poetry relating for the most part to the families of Nannau and Cors y Gedol, together with a history of the Gwydir family, etc. Pages 1-184 and 197-213 were transcribed, [c. 1690], by 'John Davies, commonly called John David Laes, a family poet at Nannau' (pp. iii, 497); pp. 217-232 and 289-295 are in the autograph of the Rev. William Wynn (p. 295); and pp. i-vii, 497-498 are in the hand of Lewis Morris of Anglesey. The remainder of the manuscript seems to belong to the first quarter of the eighteenth century.
A manuscript in three parts. The first part, possibly in the autograph of Thomas Jones (alias Twm Siôn Cati), comprises heraldry, with coloured illustrations of the coats of arms of the Britons and of the princes of North and South Wales, together with a number of their pedigrees (pp. 1-136). The second part comprises the pedigrees of the mothers of some of the principal families in Wales, together with a description of their coats of arms (pp. 137-178). The third part comprises poetry, a large portion of which is in the autograph of John Jones, Gellilyfdy (pp. 179-202).
