Opus 15: Clarinet Quintet

Ink score, dated 3rd January-19th May 1962, titled Opus 15: 'Clarinet Quintet'. Commissioned by the Guild for the Promotion of Welsh Music for the Cheltenham Festival, 1962.

Opus 51: Canticle No.3 The Sleeping Lord

Facsimile copy of ink score for tenor, string quartet and piano, composed between February and May 1983, dated 27th June 1983 and titled Opus 51: 'Canticle No.3 The Sleeping Lord: Fragments of a Poem by David Jones.' The work was commissioned by the Guild for the Promotion of Welsh Music in association with the Welsh Arts Council for the Swansea Festival, 1983. The file also includes a typewritten copy of the poem 'The Sleeping Lord' by David Jones.

Opus 29: String Quartet No.2 (facsimile)

Facsimile copy of ink score, dated 1968, and titled Opus 29: 'String Quartet No.2'. The score was commissioned by the Guild for the Promotion of Welsh Music for the Swansea Festival, 1968, and includes parts for violins 1 and 2, viola, and cello.

Opus 43: Piano Concerto

Facsimile copy of ink score, dated 1977, titled Opus 43: 'Piano Concerto'. The score was commissioned by the Llandaff Festival, 1977, with the assistance of the Welsh Arts Council. The file also includes a typewritten note, signed by David Harries discussing the piece, dated 26th November 1984. The score includes parts for flutes 1 and 2, oboes 1 and 2, clarinets 1 and 2, bassoons 1 and 2, horns 1, 2, 3 and 4, trumpets 1 and 2, trombones 1 and 2, bass trombone, timpani, percussion, piano, violins 1 and 2, viola, cello, and bass.

Opus 54: Carillons for Harp (facsimile)

Facsimile copy of ink score, dated August 1985, and titled Opus 54: 'Carillons for Harp'. The work was commissioned by the North Wales Music Festival in association with the Welsh Arts Council, and first performed by Caryl Thomas at St. Asaph Cathedral on 25 September 1985. Dedicated to Yvonne and William Mathias.

Opus 26: Six Impromptus for Piano

Facsimile copy of ink score, dated January 1968, and titled Opus 26: 'Six Impromptus for Piano'. The work was commissioned by Geoffrey Buckley, and was first performed at the Purcell Room, London, on 30 January 1968. The facsimile includes a note in pencil: ''For return to Mr Geoffrey Buckley at recording'. Also included in the file is a published copy of David Harries' 'Four Impromptus' (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1969).

Opus 32: Sinfonietta

Two copies of a score, with one being a facsimile of ink copy and one in ink with pencil annotations, [1969], titled Opus 32: 'Sinfonietta'. The score includes parts for violins 1 and 2, viola, violoncello, cello, horns 1 and 2, trumpets 1 and 2, trombones 1 and 2, bass, timpani, and percussion.
