The Celynog Manuscripts are a collection of miscellaneous 17th to 19th century correspondence and papers, consisting of examples of Welsh literature, Welsh poetry, musical compositions, works on Welsh grammar, medical recipes, extracts from various newspapers and periodicals, tithe accounts, and genealogical, geographical, historical and political manuscripts. -- The collection also contains manuscripts relating to religion in Wales, with examples of Welsh religious literature, Welsh sermons and hymns, and manuscripts relating to the Welsh Congregational churches, and translations of charters granted to the abbey of Strata Florida.

'Cywyddau' and 'awdlau' mainly by Dafydd ap Gwilym, with a few by Madog Benfras, Iolo Goch, Ieuan Dew Brydydd, Simwnt Fychan, Syr Rolant Williams, Sion Brwynog, Huw Pennant, Lewis Menai, Wiliam Cynwal, and Sir Huw Roberts. The latter part of the volume and the index are in the autograph of John Pryce, Mellteyrn.
