William Robinson: Antiquities of Ancient Britain (Vol. 1)

An apparently unpublished work, in two volumes, c. 1846, by William Robinson, documenting the history of Britain 'from the first traditional beginning' and including accounts of the Saxons, Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. Both volumes contain numerous original drawings and a map of Europe. With NLW MS 91B.

A volume, compiled c. 1774, containing an account of the family of Morris of Piercefield in Monmouthshire and of their connections in the West Indies and in the United States. Also included are additions of a later date.

John Rowland: Inscriptions

A collection of inscriptions, copied by John Rowland (Giraldus), from churches in Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan. Some of the inscriptions were included in John Rowland's book Historical Notes of the Counties of Glamorgan, Carmarthen and Cardigan, &c. (Cardiff, 1866).

Sir John Doddridge: The Ancient and Modern Estate of the Principality of Wales

A volume containing what is said to be the original manuscript, written 1604-1605, of Sir John Doddridge's 'An historical account of the ancient and modern state of the principality of Wales ...' (London, 1630). It does not contain the preface which appears in the printed book but in other respects is very similar.

The Urinal of Physick

A volume containing a transcript, 1875-1876, by G. H. H. of NLW MS 48. Also included are notes relating to Robert Recorde (p. 10) and to Andrew Boorde (pp. 425-6).

Llandaff diocese book

A volume, c. 1769, containing a list of the dignitaries and clergy of the diocese of Llandaff, the livings and dates of institutions, and the patrons. Also included are indices to the livings and incumbents, and rentals of the revenues of the see.

William Style: Heraldry and pedigrees (Vol. 1)

A volume, c. 1656-c. 1661, containing a catalogue of the Knights of the Bath made by Henry VIII in 1509, also of the Knights Bannerets and other nobility and gentry together with their coats of arms, etc. Also included in the volume are a table of all surnames mentioned with their heraldic insignia; an account of the arms in the Parlor Window at Newnham Padox in Warwickshire and at Coughton and Chesterton; an account of Kenilworth, Tamworth, Warwick and Maxstoke Castles; epitaphs from the church of Stratford, including those to Susanna Hall and Shakespeare; tomb inscriptions from various locations; a treatise on the right of bearing arms; and a list of gentry of Nottingham, with their coats of arms. William Huddesford: Life of Edward Lhuyd

A volume containing the memoirs of the life of Edward Lhuyd, drawn up by William Huddesford before 1760 and printed, 1777, in British Remains by the Reverend N. Owen. A few leaves containing extracts from Ashmolean MS g. 38 have been inserted into the volume.
