The notes contain the names and addresses of businessmen and details of their work, and notes on lead imports and exports in London. Also included are notes on forge processes at a foundry in Bristol, 1787, and observations on water wheels.

The file contains papers of F. E. Llewellyn Jones's, grandfather, Thomas Francis of Blackmoore Farm, Abbeydore, Herefordshire, mainly probate, executorship and death duty papers, and accounts of his father Phillip Francis of Coity Mawr, Llanfeugan, Breconshire, farmer, who died in 1851. It also includes an agreement for letting Blackmoore Farm, and authority for his wife to continue farming.

Two nineteenth-century tune books now joined together as one volume, the first bearing the dates 1816 and 1866 (inside covers) in the hand of Mair Richards of Darowen, and the second 1850 (inside front cover); the first part contains popular and traditional Welsh song and dance tunes, the second, English waltzes, marches and quicksteps with a few traditional Welsh tunes and hymn-tunes. Also included are an englyn attributed to M[air] R[ichards], but signed below in red by David Richards ('Dewi Silin'; 1783-1826), who may have been the first owner (part one, f. 1).

Annual returns, 1937-1967, sent by local Co-operative Societies in South Wales and the border counties (Western Section) to the movement's headquarters, Co-operative Union Ltd, Manchester. The returns give details of land owned by each local society, profits made, the numbers of employees and members, particulars of trading, investments, liabilities and assets, and commercial operations undertaken during the course of the year. In several cases copies of annual Reports and Balance Sheets and other papers are appended to the returns. The returns were accompanied by a box list which has been used as the basis for the present list.

Deeds and documents, [1600]-[1810], mainly relating to the counties of Northampton, Hertford and Surrey, together with an account book, 1786-1793, relating to the Franklen estate in South Wales.
