A transcript of the notebook of Kurt Ockert (1920-2011), a German Prisoner of War, posted to work in Radnorshire during the Second World War who married a Welsh girl from Presteigne and lived there until his death. It was transcribed by the donor George P. Lancett after Kurt Ockert's death in November 2011.

A manuscript and typescript copy of the autobiography of Rev. J. Lloyd Williams, Baptist minister, entitled 'The autobiography of an ordinary minister', 1942, together with a collection of letters from his son Private Trevor Lloyd Williams, 1916-1917, while serving as a soldier in the Somme during the First World War. Some of the soldier's personal papers are included and his 'From the line to the base. The personal experiences of one who was slightly wounded' in his hand, and transcripts of this account and the war letters are included in 'Trevor's war' compiled by the donor J. Stuart Davies, [nephew of Trevor Lloyd Williams] .

Papers, 2011, relating to the donor's research into the Cilgwyn Estate Records for his series of articles 'Letters from the War' on the First World War experiences of Major John Kenrick Lloyd Fitzwilliams, Cilgwyn, Newcastle Emlyn, youngest of eight sons. They comprise draft copies and photocopies of the articles published in Carmarthenshire Life, 2007-2009, which focus on letters written by the Major from France, Russia and Romania to his wife Margery. Also included are excerpts from letters home by his two brothers Colonel Duncan Fitzwilliams and Major Gerard Fitzwilliams and military details about all eight brothers.

St Cuby of Duloe,

A manuscript essay on the life of St Cuby [Cybi] of Duloe, [?1900], written by the Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould (ff. 1-7).
The text appears to be unrelated to the entries on St Cuby in Baring-Gould's The Lives of the Saints, 12 vols (London, 1872-1877), XI (1877), 186-195, and S. Baring-Gould and John Fisher, The Lives of the British Saints, 4 vols (1907-1908), II (1908), 202-215; it may however be an early draft of Sabine-Gould's article, 'Vita Sancti Kebie', Y Cymmrodor, 14 (1901), 86-95, to which it bears some resemblance. The essay contains a few emendations and deletions in the author's hand. Also included are two letters: from Baring-Gould to J. D. Enys, 11 April 1900, concerning the Saints Breacha and Cuby (ff. 10-11), and to a Mr [?Collier], 25 March 1893 (ff. 8-9).
