Grievances of the Isle of Anglesey

A volume, 17 cent., containing grievances voiced by the inhabitants of Anglesey. A small edition of twenty-five copies of this tract was printed by James Orchard Halliwell-Phillips and it was subsequently reprinted in the Archaeologia Cambrensis for 1881, a few copies being afterwards struck off for private circulation.

A volume, 1657, containing a collection of coats of arms, pedigrees, etc. of families dating back to the Norman conquest. The manuscript was copied in part from 'an ancient Manuscripte of Mr. Dugdalls' (p. 7) and from 'the workes of Raphe Brooke, Esquire'.

Achau a barddoniaeth

A volume, 17 cent., containing pedigrees and poetry, the pedigrees being of considerable interest as many of them have been brought down to 1670 and later. Three places entered in the list of contents - Festiniog, Nanheudwy and Rhiw bebyll - do not appear in the body of the manuscript, while Rhiw Saeson (p. 174) is omitted from the table of contents. The volume also contains miscellaneous poetry in Welsh and English. The pagination is defective (see under 'Extent & Medium') and it is possible that the paginator made a page for page copy of a manuscript in which these pages were wanting.
