Articles against George Morgan, one of the Examiners, County of Monmouthshire, alleging irregularities in taking the depositions of witnesses in suits in which William Powell was a party in the Council in the Marches of Wales. In a suit between Walter Powell, complainant, and William Powell, defendant, he appointed the church of Llansoy for the examinations and persisted therein despite a request "to alter the same place for the ways there about very foul and dangerous for water and no lodging ft to be had there".
