Cywyddau ac odlau Guto'r Glyn,

Poetry of Guto'r Glyn, Bedo Brwynllwys, Lewys Morgannwg, Huw Dafi and others; a series of 'cywyddau' directed between Bedo Hafesb and Ieuan Tew; a text by William Salisbury adressing Gruffudd Hiraethog; and the text of Y Deg Tri Arbenig.
The manuscript is in four hands: hand A is that of Dr John Davies of Mallwyd; hands B and C seem to be those of professional clerks; and hand D is that of William Salisbury. There is an index of first lines from A-T in the hands of Dr Davies of Mallwyd and William Maurice of Llansilin.

Casgliad o farddoniaeth,

The first part of the volume, written about 1620-1630, consists of poetry by Gruffudd Hiraethog, Tudur Aled and others; the second part is a copy of the greater part of the Black Book of Carmarthen (see Peniarth MS 1) in the hand of Dr John Davies, Mallwyd.

Barddoniaeth,

Poetry of Prydydd y Moch, Bleddyn Fardd and other poets of the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, mostly written c. 1605 (p. 305).
Pp. 292-97 are apparently in the hand of Robert Vaughan of Hengwrt.

The poetical works of Lewys Dwnn,

A volume of collections of poems by Lewys Dwnn probably made up after his death. Lewys Dwnn customarily made retrospective copies of his own poems and usually gave their dates; he is explicit in his subscription on p. 402, dated 1607. The apparent constituent parts are six. Many leaves are damaged at their edges.
(i) pp. 1-72. Poems by Lewys Dwnn, mostly cywyddau, for the most part dated 1600-7, one as early as 1590, all probably written about 1607, together with copies of a few other cywyddau of [15 cent.], all in the hand of Lewys Dwnn.
(ii) pp. 73-432. Poems by Lewys Dwnn dated 1599-1603, a few dated 1577-83, all probably copied c. 1603, with a few cywyddau by others, of [14-16 cent.], and on pp. 231-40 ‘Ymddiddan Tristan ac Esyllt’ [printed in Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, 5 (1929-31), 115-29]. Written by Lewys Dwnn (pp. 80-6, 91-9, etc.) with the help of perhaps five amanuenses: A, probably the young James Dwnn (pp. 73-80); B, the main helper (pp. 87-91, 100-6, 115-26, etc.); C (pp. 136-40, 187-94); D (pp. 195-7). Many poems copied by the amanuenses are signed by Lewys Dwnn himself.
(iii) pp. 433-46. Poems by Lewys Dwnn dated 1614-16, all autograph, his hand tremulous.
(iv) pp. 447-506. Poems by Lewys Dwnn dated 1601-4, with two earlier, 1590 and 1592, all probably written c. 1604, autograph except for pp. 491-5 (by Dwnn’s amanuensis, apparently James Dwnn).
(v) pp. 507-616. Poems by Lewys Dwnn dated 1568-84, in his early hand, all probably written c. 1584, headings in red.
(vi) pp. 617-90. Poems by Lewys Dwnn dated 1604-5, all autograph except for pp. 649-58, which are written by a good collaborating secretary hand; one poem dated 1607 (pp. 689-90).

Llyfr Thomas Wiliems,

A compilation in the hand of Thomas Wiliems (?1550-?1622) comprising material mainly of a vaticinatory nature, including 'Daroganau' of Taliesin, Merlin and others; and a prophecy concerning the reigning monarchs from Henry VI to Elizabeth I.

Llyfr Cadwaladr Wynn,

A late-sixteenth century compilation in various hands of the poetry of Dafydd Nanmor, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Siôn Cent and others. Part of the manuscript was once a book of 'cywyddau' belonging to Cadwaladr Wynn, Tyn y Fron Goch, Llanrheadr-ym-mochnant, written in 1598.

Barddoniaeth mawl i Lloyds, Berthlwyd,

A manuscript in two hands, second quarter of the 17th century, comprising poetry of Owain Gwynedd, Gruffudd Hafren, Siôn Cain and others praising the Lloyd family of Berthlwyd near Llanidloes.

Ystoria Charlymaen,

The Romance of Charlemagne as written by Ieuan Ysgolhaig in 1336.
The folios have been misarranged in the binding. This text seems to be the prototype of the version in Peniarth MS 5 (White Book of Rhydderch), Peniarth MS 10, and Jesus College Oxford MS 111 (Red Book of Hergest).

Barddoniaeth,

A compilation, in several 16th-century hands, of poetry of Gruffudd Hafren, Siôn Ifans, Owain Gwynedd and others.
