Antiquitates Parochiales Insulae Monae
A volume containing a copy of a work on the parishes of Anglesey by the Rev. Henry Rowlands, author of Mona Antiqua, and other works. This copy was transcribed by 'G. M.' [William Morgan] in 1726 and was printed, with a translation, in the Arch. Camb., 1st Series, vols I-IV. At the end of the volume (p. 143) there is a tract entitled Bellum Mariscum, which was not published in the Arch. Camb.

A volume containing a translation of Buchedd Gruffydd ap Cynan. A note on the first page states that the Life of Gruffydd ap Cynan was "written originally in Welsh and copied A. D. 1683 from a MS. at Plas Ward, and now first translated into English". Also included in the volume are various loose papers in the hand of Edward Jones, Bardd y Brenin.
Pedigree of Sir William Jones of Castellmarch
A volume containing a copy, 1862, of the pedigree of Sir William Jones of Castellmarch, Caernarvonshire, drawn up by Sion Cain of Oswestry in 1630. This 19th century copy was made from an illuminated pedigree with the arms in the library at Middle Hill.
Josh. & Elizabeth Hawker: Journal of a tour through North Wales
A journal, 1812, by Josh. Hawker (Clarencieux King of Arms) and Elizabeth, his wife, of a tour undertaken through North Wales.
A fragment corresponding to chapters III, IV & V in the First Book of Malory's Morte Darthur. This version differs in many important particulars from those tabulated in Dr Sommer's Morte Darthur, Vol. III. Peniarth MS 215, pp. 317-348, appears to be a direct, but inaccurate, copy from this original. This text is printed in Y Cymmrodor, Vol. XXIV, pp. 250-258.
Sermons, in English and Welsh, apparently written in 1675 and 1676.
A volume containing religious songs and carols, in Welsh, of the 17th and 18th centuries. The authors were mostly natives of the Teifi Valley in Cardiganshire, where the book was written c. 1720; however, pp. 226-34 and 245-344 are in later hands. Many of the compositions were written by Evan Griffith of Twrgwyn, Cardiganshire. Dates of songs are incorporated in the last lines, but the author's meaning is not always certain and the dates in the latter portion cannot be relied upon. In some cases, the author's name has been obtained from Cwrtmawr MS 45.
Richard Williams: Blodeuog-waith y Prydyddion Bryttannaidd
A transcript of Flores Poetarum Britannicorum (Shrewsbury, 1710) made, 1770, by Richard Williams (p. 133). On p. 1 there is a copy of a promissory note by one John Williams of Rhwng y ddwuryd, Dolbenmaen, dated 1758.

David Jones (Dewi Fardd): Caneuon a baledi
A collection of Welsh songs and ballads written, 1736-1755, by David Jones (Dewi Fardd) of Trefriw. Many of the songs were afterwards printed by David Jones in Blodeugerdd Cymru (1759; second edn 1779). A modern index to the poets has been inserted at p. v.

Llythyrau, trioedd ac officium B. Mariae
Written by the Rev. David Ellis (1739-1795), when curate of Amlwch, in 1788 (pp. 381, 444). There are notes by Iolo Morganwg (p. 444), Rev. P. Bayly Williams, pp. 344-6 and Owen Williams. David Thomas (Dafydd Ddu Eryri) has written his name on p. 516. This is one of several MSS written by David Ellis, viz., Pen[iarth] 154, 197, Cardiff 47, Cwrtmawr 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Llanstephan 222, and a MS at the Free Library, Swansea. 6 pages at the beginning and 6 at the end are taken from the Middlesex Journal for November, 1787.

This is the original manuscript of one of the works of the Reverend Azariah Shadrach of Aberystwyth (1774-1844). It was published at Carmarthen in 1820, 1826 and 1857.
