A volume issued, 1828, to the antiqury Angharad Llwyd, Tyn-y-rhyl, Flintshire, for the collection of subscriptions towards St David's Welsh Church, Liverpool, but utilised by her as a commonplace and autograph book. Verse and prose entries, 1830-1853, mostly of a religious nature, include autograph poetry by John Jones (Tegid), Thomas Price (Carnhuanawc), and Bryan Waller Procter (Barry Cornwall), and entries by Sir John Bernard Bosanquet, Lady Charlotte Guest, Augusta Hall, Lady Llanover, Henry Hart Milman, David Pennant, William Owen[-Pughe], Thomas Raffles, Henry Raikes, John Bird Sumner, and Frances Wrangham. Also included is a letter of address, 1828, to Angharad Llwyd from the Rev. Robert Davies, perpetual curate of St David's Church (f. iii).

Four hundred letters, 1834-1841, 1847-1848, and undated, relating to Cymdeithas Cymreigyddion y Fenni (Abergavenny Cymreigyddion Society). About half their number are addressed to Thomas Bevan ('Caradawc'), the Society's first secretary. Of the remainder some are addressed to John Evans ('Ieuan ab Gruffydd'), who succeeded Thomas Bevan as secretary, and to the Reverend John Evans, Llanover, who was chairman of the Society for more than one term and secretary from (?) April 1846 onwards, while a few are addressed to other individuals, among them Sir Benjamin Hall, Lady [Augusta] Hall, J. Hiley Morgan, Abergavenny, and the Reverend Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc'). The matters discussed include subjects for competition, prizes, subscriptions, arrangements for the Anniversaries, etc. The letters have been rearranged slightly and renumbered and a list of the old and new series numbers has been supplied. A diary, January 1832 to 21 February 1847, of Robert Williams, perpetual curate of Rhydycroesau, near Oswestry from 1838 to 1879. Robert Williams served as curate of Llangernyw, Denbighshire from 1833 to 1836 and was appointed perpetual curate of Llangadwaladr in 1837. The diary, which is written in Welsh, contains references to events in his home district of Conway as well as to the areas where he served as a cleric. Beginning at the end of the volume there are poems by [John Jones] ('Tegid') (1828); a list of books entitled 'Llyvrau yn Ty Deon', 19 August 1832; accounts with booksellers, stationers, etc., 1832-9; extracts from Aristotle's Rhetoric; and lists of clothes ('Rhestr Dillad'), linen ('Lliain') and carpenter's tools ('Oferynau Saer').
