Letter dealing with family affairs. Attached is a copy of a letter dated Nov. 20, 1707, concerning the case of the mayor, etc. of 'Bewmares', to be sent by William Owen to Lord Bulkeley; also a copy of 'The clauses in the charter of Bewmares touching the election and canvassing of their mayor and bailliffes, etc.', also a copy of 'The case of the present mayor and bailiffs of the said burrough'.

Devises all his tmt's and lands in co. Ang., to Henry Rowlands, bp Bangor, and others, as trustees, to found and maintain a free grammar school in a house lately built on a parcel of ground lately purchased by him from Richard Thickens, in the town of Beaumares, co. Ang. (Details relating to the powers given to the trustees to maintain and govern the school and to appoint the schoolmaster and usher) and to erect an Almshouse in p. Llanerchmedd, co. Ang. for 8 poor people elected from p's Llantrisaint, Rhodegidio, Llachenfarwy (=Llechgynfarwy) and Gwredog (Details relating to the maintenance and discipline of the poor). Devises the rest of his property to the trustees to purchase land to provide in some college in University of Oxford so many fellowships according to the discretion of the trustees. In nuncupative codicil, bequests to relatives and others. Appended is a Rentroll of the free school and hospital, 1 April 1630. 3 Copies.
