Miscellaneous manuscript and printed material, 1775-1870, relating to Captain John Phillips of Liverpool, his heirs, and the Smalls Lighthouse on the Pembrokeshire coast, the building of which he instigated, including two broadsides, articles of agreement, legal opinions, autograph letters and the signed document by which Phillips transferred the management of the lighthouse to Trinity House.

Miscellaneous legal and other letters and papers, 1765-1843, mainly of Pembrokeshire interest and including letters sent by John Swale of Lincoln's Inn, etc., to Richard Knethell, attorney-at-law, Hook, near Haverfordwest, other recipients of letters being John Bateman, Haverfordwest, W. A selection of manuscripts, [16 cent.]-[?1919], of the late Dr Henry Owen, from the Library at Poyston. They include the manuscript note-books of Dr Owen, and of Edward Laws, his friend and fellow worker on Pembrokeshire history. The older manuscripts include two in the hand of George Owen of Henllys; holograph letters of General Sir Thomas Picton (born at Poyston); and a rent roll of the rents belonging to the Bishop of St Davids, 1685.
