A volume lettered 'Detholion', containing printed matter and press cuttings mainly relating to Welsh eisteddfodau. The printed matter includes an announcement, 1849, of the sale of building land on the Gloddaeth estate of the Hon. E. M. L. Mostyn, M.P.; correspondence, 1836, between the Reverend D. James, Kirkdale, Liverpool, and Arthur James Johnes, Garthmyl, concerning a resolution of thanks by the Liverpool Society of Ancient Britons to Arthur James Johnes 'for his laudable attempt to remove the abuses which have crept into the established church in Wales through the appointment of English bishops and English incumbents ...'; a prospectus of an eisteddfod to be held at Liverpool on 1 March, 1838, under the auspices of the Liverpool Society of Ancient Britons; an appeal by the London Society of Ancient Britons for subscriptions to a fund for the delivering of lectures in Welsh on scientific subjects and for the translation into Welsh of scientific treatises, etc.; minutes of proceedings of the Liverpool Gordovigion Royal Eisteddfod, 1840; etc. The majority of the press cuttings are from The Carnarvon and Denbigh Herald, The North Wales Chronicle, The Cardiff and Merthyr Guardian, and The Merthyr Chronicle, and include a report on the Beaumaris Royal Eisteddfod, 1832; a letter, 1837, by John Parry ('Bardd Alaw'); a report of a meeting of the Wrexham Literary Association [1859]; letters of John Jones ('Talhaiarn') and others relating to the failure of the London Eisteddfod of 1855; a report of a concert given by the Liverpool Welsh Choral Society [1849]; letters relating to criticisms of adjudications at the Cardiff Athenaeum eisteddfod, 1851; poetry; songs; etc.

Dyddlyfrau, Chwefror 1857-Gorffennaf 1858 (NLW MS 24055B, tt. 1-272) ac Awst 1858-Gorffennaf 1860 (NLW MS 24056B), y cenhadwr Methodist dinesig David Williams, yn cofnodi ei ymweliadau â Chymry yn Llundain ar ran y Genhadaeth Gymreig yn Llundain. Arwyddir y dyddlyfrau yn rheolaidd gan arolygydd Williams, y Parch. Owen Thomas, Jewin Crescent. = Journals, February 1857-July 1858 (NLW MS 24055B, pp. 1-272) and August 1858-July 1860 (NLW MS 24056B), of the Methodist city missionary David Williams, recording his visits to Welsh people in London on behalf of y Genhadaeth Gymreig yn Llundain (the Welsh Mission in London). The journals are periodically signed by Williams's superintendent, the Rev. Owen Thomas, Jewin Crescent.

Cyhoeddwyd pedwar llythyr ar ddeg oddi wrth David Williams, ynglŷn â’r genhadaeth yn Llundain, yn Y Drysorfa, cyfres newydd, 11-14 (1857-1860). = Also included are a photograph of David Williams, [?1880s], and a modern photograph of a framed portrait of him, both relating to his time as minister of Peniel Chapel, Tremadog (1865-1891). Fourteen letters from David Williams, concerning the London mission, were published in Y Drysorfa, n.s., 11-14 (1857-1860).

A volume relating to William Jones (ca. 1825-93), Clwt-y-bont, parish of Llanddeiniolen, co. Caernarfon, compiled, 1893, by his son Griffith Williams Jones (d. 1924), Lewisham, London, with an index of contents (f. 100 verso). It comprises transcripts of letters of condolence on the death of William Jones addressed to various members of the family, many of them from Calvinistic Methodist ministers, and of englynion in his memory by 'Dewi Arfon' and 'Eifionydd'; and press cuttings of obituaries. Iems, 1923-69, relating to Griffith Williams Jones and to Lewisham Welsh Presbyterian church, of which he was a founder member, have been added on ff. 91 verso-3.
