Diary, March-November 1885, of an unidentified Scottish girl staying at Port-Manech and elsewhere in Finistère, Brittany, containing many observations on local life and customs and references to artists working in the Pont-Aven district. A few notes have been added in pencil by a later hand.

Diaries of Geraint Dyfnallt Owen, comprising diary entries in Welsh, 9-23 January 1928, as an undergraduate student at Aberystwyth (MS 23325B); diaries, mainly in English, 8 February-3 December 1931, while at Oxford (MSS 23326B-23327A, the latter also including an account of a visit to Brittany, 23 July-7 September 1931); and diaries spanning the period spent as a Research Fellow of UCW, Aberystwyth, 1932-1936 (MSS 23328-23333A), and as a member of staff of the BBC in Cardiff and Swansea, 1937-1938 (MSS 23334-23336B) and London, 1940-1941 (MS 23337B). This last diary, written in Welsh, contains a commentary on the progress of the Second World War, including the background to certain events and forecasts concerning their outcome.

A journal of a visit to Brittany, 10 July-8 August 1933, by Geraint Dyfnallt Owen and his parents, containing references to Breton political and cultural activities including comments on the nationalist movement and accounts of meetings with prominent activists.

Notebook of Berta Ruck, March 1920-January 1921, recording visits to Oxford and London and holidays in Brittany and Scotland; a few extracts were later incorporated in her autobiographical volume A Story-teller tells the Truth (London, 1935).

Papers of Rose Mabel Lewis, 1873-1917, comprising journals, 1874-1912, including a journal containing an account of her honeymoon journey to the USA and Canada, together with a short story, 'The Shepherd Lord', notes on painting, knitting patterns and cookery recipes and other journals containing details of journeys to Jamaica, London and France, Las Palmas and Brittany; literary manuscripts, including notebooks with poetry and prose drafts, 1873-[c. 1914]; and printed material, 1891, 1917.
