The following song was written for the Manchester Cymreigyddion Society ... and sung by the writer to the Harp, and for which he was awarded the Prize' by 'Garmon'; and a note on the pedigree of the families of Gwynn (Wynn) of Maesne[u]add; Glyncywarch, etc., with panegyric verses. Added to 'Pennillion i annerch Cymdeithas y Cymraegyddion yn 'Llundain. Y dôn yw blodau'r dyffryn' by Edward Charles is the following postscript, - 'Gresyn na fyddai beirdd Cymry yn 'r oes hon yn canu ar yr hên Geingciau cymreig fel y pennillion hyn: mae'nt hwyth[a]u yn barddoni y rhan fynycha, a'r ryw Geingciau seisnig, yr hyn sydd hollol anghyttun a pheroriaeth y Cymro'. On one of the fly-leaves is an imperfect list of correspondents in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with additions in the hand of J. H. Davies.

(I). Verses entitled 'Coffadwriaeth Y Parch. Archddiacon [Thomas] Beynon' by 'Galaethfardd Gwawdrydd', ie Thomas Lloyd Jones ('Gwenffrwd'), Mobile, Alabama, USA, late of Holywell, Flintshire, and 'Verses' by the Reverend Daniel Evans ('Daniel Ddu o Geredigion'), Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford, composed after having read the poem by 'Galaethfardd Gwawdrydd'. The volume is in the hand of Dd Morgan, Penrhyn Deudraeth and is said to have been transcribed on 16 March 1871, and recopied on 5 December 1879, from Awenyddion Gwent a Dyfed: sef y Cyfansoddiadau Barddoniaidd a ennillasant Dlysau, a Gwobrau eraill yn Eisteddfod Caerdydd ... ar yr 20fed, 21ain, a'r 22ain o Awst 1834. Copies of Some Specimens of the Poetry of the Antient Welsh Bards translated into English ... (London,1764) and The Love of Our Country, A Poem ... (Carmarthen, 1772), both of them by Evan Evans ('Ieuan Brydydd Hir'), and four letters, 1768-1787, from him to Thomas Pennant; a letter from Robert Williams (Rhydycroesau) to David Pennant; and prospectuses of printed publications by Evan Evans, Robert Williams, Thomas Lloyd Jones ('Gwenffrwd'), etc.
