A notebook containing 'englynion', 'cywyddau', etc. by (?) E. Anwyl, Ed. Moris, Rys Cain, Dafydd ab Gwilym, Dafydd Nanmor, Lewys Trefnant, Huw Machno, Edward Urien, Edm : Prys, Roger Cyffin, Huw Arwystl, Morys Berwyn, Ow. Gwynedd, Sr. Owain ab Gwilym, Ifan Llwyd o waun Eingian, Howel Cilan, Mathew Browmffield, Siams Dwnn, 1605, Ifan Tew, Sion Phylip, Rissiart Phylip, Robert Humphreys [1707] (in a different hand) and John Byrchinsha [1707] (in free metre), followed by a list of contents written in a later hand. At the reverse end is the beginning of a Welsh translation of A Practical Discourse concerning a future judgment by William Sherlock, D.D. [pp. 1-11] ('Traethod bucheddol am y farn a fydd (sy' i ddyfod) o waith Wm. Sherloc y D.D.'), followed by englynion by Ed. Morys and Siôn Rhissiart, etc. and a note in pencil by St. G. A[rmstrong] W[illiams], July 8 1886: 'Cannot find a name for this note book, so as to identify it on the Catalogue'. In the list of Cwrtmawr manuscripts it is described as 'Llyfr W. Rowlands, 1700'. J. H. Davies has added in pencil: 'W Rowland see R. Ellis article on Lhwyd' [i.e. Trans. Cymm., 1906-7, pp. 26-8].
