The file comprises miscellaneous manuscript drafts of letters from David Jones to friends and associates, including Mr Alcock, Jackson Knight, Tony Stoneburner, Walter Shewring, Glyn Jones, Harman Grisewood, Alun Oldfield-Davies, T. Charles Edwards, Gwynfor Evans, Peter Orr, Valerie Wynne-Williams, Rachel Bromwich, and others. Many of the drafts are incomplete, many only of the first paragraph of the letter. There are also many letters to editors of newspapers.

The file comprises letters to and from René Hague, mainly 1976-1979 (with typescript copies of letters to David Jones 1925, 1950 and 1970) relating to the publication of Dai Greatcoat. There are letters to and from Rosemary Goad and Peter Sautoy of Faber and Faber, Mollie Elkin and Stella Wright (David Jones' nieces), Nicolete Gray, James Shiel, Walter Shewring and others.

The file comprises letters to and from René Hague, mainly 1979-1980, relating to the publication of Dai Greatcoat and matters arising from allusions in the text. There are also letters to and from Rosemary Goad and Catharine Carver of Faber and Faber, Peter Kelly, Nicolete Gray, Walter Shewring, Stella Wright, five letters from Robert Buhler (husband of Prudence Pelham), and three typescript copies of letters from Fr. John O' Connor to David Jones, 1921.

The file comprises postcards to David Jones from Jim Ede, Louis Bonnerot, Janet Stone, Harman Grisewood, Peter Levi, Douglas Cleverdon, Will Carter, Walter Shewring, Desmond Chute, Ben Nicholson, Prudence Pelham, Desirée Hirst, Lynette Roberts, Keidrych Rhys, Tom Burns, René Hague, Helen Sutherland and many other friends and family members, with also a Christmas card made by Ray Howard-Jones and a postcard from David Jones, 1915.

The file includes some additions and corrections collected by René Hague to his Commentary with letters to him discussing the book from Nancy Sandars, 1978, William Blissett (3), 1975-1977, Walter Shewring and others. There are also copies of obituaries to David Jones by Peter Levi, Nigel Abercrombie, and Tom Burns, and a piece of the cover of The Anathemata.

The file comprises typescript and photocopied typescripts of 'Some notes on the draft of the Kensington Mass and the Continuation of the Kensington Mass' by René Hague, and two photocopies of the Kensington Mass manuscript which was published as facsimiles A-O, with also a typed copy. There are a few letters, including two letters to René Hague from William Blisset, 1975, a copy of part of a letter from David Jones, and a letter from W[alter Shewring] to René Hague.
