A holograph essay entitled 'Traethawd Beirniadol ar Athroniaeth William James' by 'Diwyd o Geredigion' [the Reverend William Benjamin, Garth, Llangollen]. The essay was awarded the prize at the National Eisteddfod at Aberystwyth, 1916.

An album compiled by T. Lewis Old, Aberystwyth, containing printed matter, press cuttings, and correspondence relating to the National Eisteddfod and in particular to the accompanying Singing Festival ('Gymanfa Ganu Genedlaethol') held at Aberystwyth in August, 1916. A few items at the end relate to a similar Singing Festival held in conjunction with the National Eisteddfod at Birkenhead in September, 1917.

Also included are a list of subjects and donors at the National Eisteddfod, Aberystwyth, 1916 (ff. 5-15); verses in Welsh written to Philip Thomas on his seventy-third birthday, 1930 (ff. 395-396); four letters of protest, 1934, at the invitation by Neath Council to the Bath and West of England Agricultural Society to visit Neath in 1936 (ff. 397-401 verso); and a musical programme for a reception at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Birkenhead, 1917 (f. 249).
