The Church of England Liturgy in France

'An account of wt. passed in relation to ye obtaining ye libertie from ye King of France to vse ye Liturgie of ye Church of England at St. Germains en Leye, in Publick, for ye King of Englands subjects.' The contents relate to negotiations between the Dean of Durham, Sir James Montgomery, Monsieur de Croissy, and the writer - probably Lord Herbert of Cherbury - and the King and Queen of France. (Edward, 1st baron Herbert of Cherbury, was ambassador to the Court of France in 1619).
