Nand Kumar, a Faujdar at Hoogly in 1756, later became Mir Ja'far's Diwan and after him Diwan of his son Mir Najm al-Daulah. On 19 August 1756 he was appointed Tahsildar on behalf of the Company to realise its share from the Rajas of Burdwan and Nadia but was dismissed in 1775 by Vansitart because of malpractice and was executed for forgery. He was succeeded by Raja Gurudas.
