History
Henry Hey Knight (1795-1857), cleric and antiquary, was born in Tewkesbury. He succeeded to the (possibly familial) living of Newton Nottage, Glamorgan in December 1854 and from that time dwelt permanently at Nottage Court. Knight was one of the first members of the Cambrian Archaeological Association and was the author of several antiquarian papers, the most important being 'An Account of Newton Nottage', published in Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1853.
