The political correspondence relates largely to Welsh affairs, including Disestablishment, the Welsh Church Commission, education and the investiture of the Prince of Wales in 1911, as well as to the Irish Question and the First World War. [?1831]-1888, (mainly social, personal and legal). Other personal papers include the diaries of Richard Lister Venables, 1828-1893, diaries and journals of George Stovin Venables, and diaries of Mary Hannah Venables, 1809-1834. -- The remainder of the archive comprises mainly title deeds, 1665-1863, relating to properties in Breconshire, Denbighshire, Merioneth, Radnorshire, Montgomeryshire, and in the USA, personal, housekeeping and bank accounts, 1806-1893, and material relating to establishing All Saints church, Newbridge-on-Wye, 1883.
