A note-book possibly in the hand of the Reverend John Evans, Baptist minister, best known as John Evans, Abercannaid, Merthyr. The contents consist entirely of sermon notes, 1827-1829 and undated. Inset are loose items, including a note addressed by D. Rhys Stephen, from Abertawy, to the Reverend John Evans, [18]31 (accompanying a copy of a three-stanza hymn by John Morris, headed 'Hymn dduwiol a gyfansoddwyd i'r Parch. Mr. Davies, Alltwen'), and further sermon notes, [18]44 and [18]67, bearing the initials 'J.E.'., or the signature 'John Evans'.

Incomplete manuscript notes of various sermons in Welsh. The dates October 1843, September 1844, and October 1852 appear at the end of three of the sermons and the date October 1843 is coupled with the place-name Borth. Also a copy of the words and music of an anthem entitled 'Hark the Herald Angels sing' composed for the choir of the parish church of Aberystwyth and dedicated to the vicar, the Reverend C. Owen Phillips [vicar of the parish, [1861-1886], by Inglis Bervon, organist of the parish church.
Notebook, 1840-1865, of the Reverend Evan David containing sermon notes; a record of preaching engagements, 1840-1850; and miscellaneous accounts, including accounts relating to Tor-y-coed and other farms in the Llantrisant area (ff. 17 verso, 19 verso-23, 26, 32). Sermon note-book of Hugh Rogers
Notes of sermons in the autograph of Hugh Rogers, 'Beginninge 7 March, 1657', probably the 'itinerant' who served first in Monmouth and then became rector of Newtown, where some of the sermons were preached in 1658. He was 'ejected' from Newtown for 'Nonconformity' at the Restoration.
