One of two volumes containing press cuttings, many of them from newspapers published in Wales and including material largely, but not exclusively, of Merioneth interest, broadsides, posters, leaflets, letters, poetry (including Pennill[ion] ar ddyfodiad William Robert Maurice Wynne Ysswain Aer ac Etifedd Peniarth iw oed, Chwefror 15 1861 ... by Robert Llewelyn Roberts, Llanenddwyn and a song on the same occasion by Harry William of Barmouth, formerly of Llanegryn), portraits, etc. The collection of the material was begun by William Watkin Edward Wynne (1801-1880) of Peniarth, Merioneth.

Press cuttings of letters and articles contributed to North Wales newspapers by John Wynne, schoolmaster, of Caernarvon, author of Sir a Thre' Caernarfon, fel yr oedd ac fel y maent yn 1860; and a copy of a letter addressed by him to Lord Derby expressing satisfaction at the appointment of a bishop of Bangor, 1861. The press cuttings have been pasted in a book containing an incomplete essay on the early history of Britain and a list of Caernarvon residents.
