Papers donated by the Pontypridd branch of Welsh Women's Aid. They include material relating to the constitution, corporate structure, strategic development and codes of practice of Welsh Women's Aid; records of its Management Committee and of numerous departmental meetings; internal and external correspondence; accounting, fundraising and other administrative papers; and branch archives from Wales, England and Northern Ireland, all of which reference the issues affecting women and their children who access Women's Aid, such as domestic violence, social welfare and law and legislation.
Note that not all material contained within this section may be directly related to the donor (Pontypridd) branch.
Jane Hutt (b. 1949) was one of the founder members of Welsh Women's Aid and was appointed as coordinator of the group in January 1978. She is currently (September 2021) a Welsh Labour Party politician serving as Minister for Social Justice since 2021. In her capacity as Welsh Women's Aid co-ordinator, Jane Hutt is frequently referenced throughout this archive.
