Biographical history
The 14th (Service Battalion) Royal Welsh Fusiliers served in the First World War, 1914-1918. Sir Wynn Wheldon served with the rank of Major in this battalion; he was later employed in the civil service.

Scope and content
This collection consists of war diaries, 1916-1918, of the 14th (Service Battalion), Royal Welsh Fusiliers. The diaries, with some entries written in the hand of Major Wynn Wheldon, give a day-to-day chronicle of the activities of the battalion on the Western Front including reports on operations and actions, particulars of casualties, etc.
