Included with correspondence and papers of John Saunders Lewis and of his wife Margaret Lewis (née Gilcriest) purchased from Mrs Mair Saunders Jones, Penarth, in January 1994 (now NLW MSS 23224-33).

Photocopies of works by Robbit Jon Clow (Robert John Armstrong, 1877-1952) comprising an incomplete memoir of his mother entitled 'The Life of Frances Edwards' (1838-1921) written in a manuscript volume, dated 1932, which also includes the autobiography of Matthew Owen (1769-1839), cousin of Goronwy Owen (1723-69), and grandfather of Frances Edwards; together with an undated pamphlet The Royal Charter containing biographical information relating to Frances Edwards, with an account of the events leading up to the tragic end of the ship 'Royal Charter' which hit the rocks at Moelfre, Anglesey, on 26 October 1859 (Frances Edwards visited the scene of the disaster). She was also related to the Rev. John Elias (1774-1841) and, in 1860, she emigrated to Australia
