Part of Sir John Williams manuscripts
A collection of Irish poems and songs in three books of various sizes. The first book consists of a collection of songs, some accompanied by musical notation, chiefly by Seaghan O Duibhir an Ghleanna, Tagdh Gaodhalach and Eoghan Ruadh O Suiliobhain; the second book consists of a collection of Irish minstrelsy written for the Reverend Joseph Baylee, M.A., incumbent of Holy Trinity Church, Woodside, Cheshire, the chief writers being Seumas O Caoindealbhain, Eoghan Ruadh O Suiliobhain and Tadhg O Suiliobhain; the third book consists of miscellaneous verses transcribed by James Sullivan at Liverpool, 1841, for the Reverend Joseph Baylee and contains poems by James Sullivan, elegies on various members of the O'Sullivan family, two pieces by Eoghan Ruadh O Suiliobhain, etc.
