Swansea's National Waterfront Museum was opened in October 2005 as part of the National Museum of Wales with the aid of funding from the Welsh Development Agency and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The museum, which is integrated with the site of the former Swansea Industrial and Maritime Museum, focuses on Wales' industrial and innovative history.
