Note

Founded in 1943, Cymdeithas Gwenynwyr Cymru (CGC) / the Welsh Beekeepers' Association (WBKA) is the overall support body for all nineteen local Beekeeping Associations in Wales. It is a registered charity, managed by a board of trustees supported by various officers, all of whom are volunteers. It holds annual conventions at the Royal Welsh showground near Builth Wells and specialist members of the association form the WBKA Council, which meets three times a year (see under Welsh Beekeepers' Association Council meetings: minutes and agendas). The WBKA supports the development and training of Welsh beekeepers in improving the standards of bee husbandry while co-operating with related bodies such as the Council of National Beekeeping Associations (CONBA), the Bee Health Advisory Forum (BHAF) and the Welsh Government Pollinators Taskforce. Its current officers are Jenny Shaw (secretary), Graham Wheeler (treasurer), Caroline Mullinex (chair) and John Bowles (president).

Note

Language note: For Welsh content, see under individual headings. Some material is bilingual (Welsh/English).

A digital description of the minutes is still available at https://archifau.llyfrgell.cymru/index.php/welsh-beekeepers-association-papers.
