Note
Agreements relating to multiple locations, for example, permission to walk on the line between Dinas Isha Colliery and Penygraig Station, 1900, and agreement to lay and erect cables etc. near Llandilo Bridge, Golden Grove and Ffairfach Stations, 1954, are filed under the first-named station. The spelling of placenames has been standardised. Note that the place-name used can change during the life of the agreement; for example 73203, an agreement for an electric line under the railway approx. 850 yards from Sirhowy station, 1947, is also referred to as at Tredegar, and is terminated in 1969 as 'cable near Nantybwch'; agreements are filed under the name used in the original agreement. Where a town has more than one station, e.g. Pontypridd's Central and Graig stations, they are gathered into the same file.
The covering dates of bundles relate to the dates of the original agreements. Variations, renewals, correspondence and eventual cancellations are inevitably dated later, but are not recorded in this catalogue.
