An account-book containing entries made at various periods between 1640 and 1918. The earliest entries appear to have been made by William Wynn of Glyn, Talsarnau (dec. 1658) and these have been continued by Robert Wynn, his son (dec. 1670). There are also references to Sylvaen and Brynkir. The William Wynn entries include the following:. 'Octor 1646 in Readie money & gould in the studie wth in a hole in the wale vnder a sheet of paper 70£ in three severall baggs. 'Item fiftie poundes more in gould in a boxe that is Covered wth painted paper wthin the Right end of my litl trunke wher som of my writtins are.'. The entries made between 1813 and 1918 relate to the hire of servants and to servants' wages, and from about 1872 onwards are 'Accounts kept by Emily Williams, who was Miss Pughe-Jones's nurse & housekeeper. Went to her at age of 18, died in 1953 in her 102nd year'. There is also 'A Catalogue of those Persons who have taken their Freedom at Glynne by drinking out of Sion ap Meredith .... 1770 Decr 12.
